February: Quilt Shop Hop from Dairyland to the DellsFeb 1-29, 2024 are the dates for this fun winter hop featuring seven shops in the rolling hills of South Central Wisconsin. Shop hoppers may pick up their free "passport" at the first participating shop they visit, get it stamped at each of the shops, enter shop drawings, and turn in the passport by the end of the month to be entered into the drawings for the large prizes. (Note: no purchase is necessary at any of the shops to enter the drawings!) Each shop has a quilted silent auction item they made, where funds raised will benefit Madison's Gilda's House for patients undergoing cancer treatments. The Paisley Star will have our pattern and kits available to make our Dresden Placemat and Leaf Mug Rugs Set project.
Also check out our other original quilts & patterns plus numerous kits. We are originally known for our large collection of Kansas Troubles Fabrics, and we have added many more historic and traditional fabrics from 30s to vintage to 70s to shabby chic. With around 3000 bolts, you might recognize designers like Camille Roskelly, Minick & Simpson, 3 Sisters, Lori Holt, Brenda Riddle, Corey Yoder, and more. Be sure to notice our batiks, flannels, panels & coordinates, as well as books & patterns from various designers. We offer a Quilts of Valor member discount (bring your card!) on our great selection of red, white, and blues.
Gifts and Decor are also popular at The Paisley Star. You might find that Billy Jacobs framed art you've been wanting, right next to a rustic lantern or a beautiful set of ready made table linens and towels. Primitive wood bowls and wrought iron, battery operated tapers and soy wax jar candles, novel puzzles and Lang calendars, popular brand baby toys and hand made yarn animals all seem to get along famously in our large but cozy shop. Plus, there's lots of charm and inspiration around every corner.
